Process Analysis & SVG Graphical Interface Design

  • Analyzing the real-world problem: Breaking down the wastewater treatment plant process (from collection tank, pH reaction chamber, biological tank to sludge dewatering).
  • Building a multi-tiered SCADA architecture: Establishing a standardized system from data collection (ATDriverServer), data exchange station (iWebService) to Web Server (IIS).
  • SVG Graphic Design Practice (No-Code): Creating a live monitoring interface using Inkscape software combined with ATSCADA’s SVG library of over 2900 industrial images.

The crucial ID assignment rule: Separate static/dynamic objects (e.g., a tank divided into a shell and a water column) and assign accurate IDs to prepare for data mapping.

Connecting real Siemens PLCs & Bringing Web SCADA Systems to Life

  • Dynamic simulation on Siemens PLC: Running SCL code on a real PLC to simulate sensor parameters (pump running, water level rise, acid addition causing pH decrease) to address the problem of insufficient hardware.
  • Hardware connection configuration: Use the S7 Ethernet driver on ATDriverServer to connect to the PLC memory area and synchronize the tag via the iTagBuilder tool.
  • Attach events and graphic animations to Fastweb Designer:
    • Tag Binding: Displays actual measurement data on the web.
    • Animation & Status: Changes pump color when running/stopping, flashes to indicate network connection errors.
    • Cut-Away: Simulates the extremely smooth rise and fall of the water level in the tank.
  • Integrated two-way control: Attach a switch to turn the device on/off and an analog input field to write settings directly to the PLC.

Multi-platform acceptance testing: Scan the QR code, monitor, and directly press the PLC control buttons on your mobile/tablet browser interface.
